FAQs
If you want more information, please feel free to contact us at (02) 6189 2972
What is an evaporative cooler?
An evaporative cooler is a cooling appliance that stands on your roof and uses water evaporation to cool the air. It is also a low-cost way of cooling indoor environments. Evaporative coolers work best in dry climates when the outdoor relative humidity is below 50%. They can be used to cool homes, garages, or office buildings.
What are the benefits of having an evaporative cooler?
- Eco-friendly. As far as ecologically friendly cooling methods go, evaporative cooling is the best. The use of water as a refrigerant is a major advantage of evaporative cooling. Thus, there are no ozone-depleting refrigerants employed.
- Improves the quality of indoor air. Because the air is not recirculated, fresh air will be pumped through your house every few minutes.
- Excellent in hot, dry areas. Ideal for Canberra’s hot and dry Summer.
- Simple to keep up with. Evaporative cooling is simple to maintain since it simply requires routine maintenance.
Is it fresh or recirculated air going through my home?
Fresh air is circulated to your home via an evaporative cooler. Every few minutes, the cooler blows fresh air into your home.
My evaporative cooler isn’t working properly, what should I do?
If you suspect that your evaporative cooler isn’t performing as effectively as it should, it’s time to contact an evaporative cooling professional like Landmark Air. We will answer any questions and advise you on the best course of action.
Can you leave evaporative cooling on overnight?
You can, in fact, keep an evaporative cooler running all night. Some people prefer to have their air conditioner running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Does evaporative cooling work on a two-storey house?
In general, evaporative cooling is more likely to be effective on a one-story house than a two-story house, as the hot air will have a tendency to rise and escape from the upper level.
Do you leave windows opened or closed with evaporative cooling?
If you want to get the most out of your evaporative cooling system, keep your windows slightly open so that heated air may escape and be replaced by cooler air. Using evaporative cooling, your home is flooded with cleaner fresh air since they recycle air from the outside.
